Case study
South Burnett Community Portal: Informing a circular economy strategy
The challenge
South Burnett Regional Council wanted to explore opportunities to establish industrial circular economy precincts across the region, supporting waste reduction, resource recovery and more sustainable industry practices.
The project required meaningful engagement with local businesses and stakeholders to understand opportunities for renewable energy, recycling, waste management, low-carbon transport and sustainable infrastructure.
Our solution
One Engage designed and delivered a tailored digital engagement platform to make participation simple and accessible for busy industry stakeholders.
The platform combined interactive mapping, targeted project information and flexible engagement tools, enabling businesses to explore opportunities, provide location-based insights and contribute feedback at a time that suited them.
The outcome
The platform provided an efficient and cost-effective way to capture industry perspectives and generate the insights needed to assess the feasibility of circular economy precincts.
By making participation easier, South Burnett Regional Council was able to support evidence-based decision making and progress planning for a more sustainable regional economy.
